Goal 1: Equitable Student Performance Outcomes

Students successfully learn and achieve educational outcomes regardless of their background.

Objectives

  • Successfully Complete an English and math course within three years of their first fall term of enrollment.
  • Successfully progress along their educational pathway.
  • Achieve educational outcomes by completing their program or pathway within four years.
  • Successfully obtain the skills to achieve transfer and workforce success.
  • Promote excellence in teaching and address the academic needs of learners.

Goal 2: Economic and Workforce Development

South Piedmont provides education, training, and credentials to develop a robust and skilled workforce, meet local industry’s current and future talent needs, and increase the economic mobility of service-area residents.

Objectives

  • Programs and training catalog align with forecasted labor market needs and industry demands.
  • South Piedmont fosters community partnerships with regional employers that facilitate economic mobility for families in the service area.
  • South Piedmont integrates a “career ready” culture in the campus ecosystem through early and meaningful student-employer connections.

Goal 3: Focused Student Recruitment and Enrollment

South Piedmont attracts and enrolls a diverse student body, representative of the service area, to meet labor market needs.聽

Objectives

  • Effectively engage in comprehensive marketing and outreach efforts that clarify paths to student education and career goals.
  • Employ strategies that increase access for non-traditional and underrepresented populations to move from initial interest to the application phase.
  • Increase conversion of applications to enrollment for non-traditional and underrepresented populations.
  • Increase enrollment in programs under capacity to create a robust pipeline of skilled workers.

Goal 4: Employee Recruitment and Retention

South Piedmont attracts top talent to accomplish its mission and uses innovative strategies and best practices to support and retain a high-quality workforce.

Objectives

  • Recruit a highly qualified and diverse workforce that reflects the needs of the service area and all areas of the College.
  • Retain a dedicated workforce to meet the needs of the College.
  • Promote diverse and inclusive practices that lead to innovation, productivity, retention, and overall employee engagement.

Goal 5: Organizational Strengthening

South Piedmont demonstrates performance excellence.

Objectives

  • Maximizes resources through state revenue generation, grants, private donor giving, and other revenue streams.
  • Strengthen the data and technology infrastructure to optimize business practices.
  • Strengthen effective communication and collaborative business practices to improve efficiencies.
  • Deliberately grow and maximize the use of physical facilities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through ongoing innovation and evaluation.
