Title IX

糖心视频 is an equal opportunity institution,

and is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy educational and work environment in which all members of the college community are treated with respect and dignity.

In compliance with Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972, SPCC prohibits discrimination and harassment on the basis of sex. Title IX states, 鈥淣o person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.鈥

Title IX protects male and female students from sex discrimination in connection with all academic, educational, extracurricular, athletic, and other school programs. Sexual harassment of students, which includes acts of sexual violence, can be a form of sex discrimination prohibited by Title IX. It also protects students who may have been sexually harassed off school grounds, outside of a school鈥檚 education program or activity, if the harasser is a fellow student.

South Piedmont considers violations of Title IX serious offenses and will take appropriate measures to investigate all reported incidents, protect against retaliatory acts, and follow established procedures for resolution.

The College encourages students to immediately report any instances of sexual discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence, or sexual misconduct.
